Top Eateries Of Lahore
Posted on September 6, 2020

I often come across this question on different food forums that which are the best restaurants to eat from in Lahore, so i decided to make a list of my favorites.
These are purely based on my opinion and current taste, and it can vary time to time.
Here’s my list and why:
■Arcadian Cafe – I have always loved their ambiance, service and food quality. Whenever im in a mood of having continental food and have guests along, it is my safe place to go. It surely tops my list!
■Spice Bazaar – I am a huge desi food guy, but i prefer spice bazaar for their sunday brunch only. I think no one is offering a better desi brunch than Spice Bazaar.
■Espresso – Consistent good decent food!
■Rina’s Kitchenette – Excellent food and service. I love their whole wheat thin crust pizza the most!
■Koya – I haven’t tried all of its menu but boy it’s beef burger is the best I’ve had in Lahore. All the beef burger fans must go and give it a try. NOW!
■Howdy – If you are looking for all types of yummy burgers and steaks (it is very famous in Lahore btw), and want to experience the real cowboy mood, it is the place to go!
■Zafar Halwa Puri – If we are talking about food then how can we miss halwa puri! Zafar Halwa Puri is situated in Anarkali and the best part is you can get mayda and aata puri, both, from there. Good quality and feels light on the stomach!
■Nehari – I am a huge nehari fan but recently it has been musical chairs picking my favorite between Mohammadi (Mozang) and Waris (Pesa Akhbar). Please be very specific to these branches!
■Yum Chinese – Hands down the best chinese food which has been consistently good in Lahore
■Cosa Nostra – If i ever feel like going for a beef steak, i go to Cosa. I simply love their steak!
■Taste Factory – I came across this underrated gem in samnabad and i was surprised! Beautiful interior with remarkable price range, and on top of all brilliant continental and chinese food. They definitely have their own niche of awesomeness!
■Bundu Khan – I love their sajji (Best in Lahore) at Qadafi branch! Apart from that, all their desi food is pretty decent and full of taste. I wish they add wheat roti in their menu as well. I often skip eating from here due to the roti factor, as i prefer wheat tandoori roti over khameeri roti and naan.
So far these are my top picks in Lahore. It varies time to time, and mood to mood. If i have missed any good eatery, do mention in the comments below.
Happy eating Y’all!
Love,
MK
KALAM VALLEY PAKISTAN
Posted on September 1, 2020

Hello Friends!
I recently visited Kalam Valley which is located in Swat district of Pakistan for the first time and what a visual treat it was. Thankfully there is an expressway to Swat and the new road from Bahrain to Kalam is also built, which makes your travel super easy. But the major highlight on this trip for me was extremely hospitable and friendly people, who will offer you tea, food and free stay. They are extremely helpful in guiding you and will even stop their vehicles for tourists. I was traveling with my family and had no issues whatsoever.
Since tourism is actually booming in Pakistan, i experienced some good hotels in Swat (Mingora) and Kalam. One can stop by at Mingora, a fully developed city, for a break if needed before heading towards Kalam. On your way, do not miss stopping by all river side chai (tea) dhaabas.
You can make a base at Kalam and then take jeep tours to places like Shahi Bagh and Kumrat. I will advise not to take your own car to such places even if its a 4×4 because the tracks are rocky, but worth it. You can easily get jeeps with drivers from Kalam. One important thing is to keep some cash because there is no ATM in Kalam. Last ATM you can get is at Madyen on your way. I hope the government or banks will work on it because i foresee a lot of tourism happening in this region. I would also like to request the authorities to place as many dustbins as they can to keep Kalam clean and ask the restaurants not to litter the rivers.
Over all, what a wonderful experience to explore these scenic places full of kind people, amazing food (don’t miss the river fresh trout) and breathtaking visuals. I hope you will enjoy the photographs that i took!
Long Live Pakistan!
Love,
Mohsin Khawar
